Happy birthday Vintage Lifestyle Magazine

It's Vintage Lifestyle Magazine's first birthday last Sunday, 4 December. I have always loved this online magazine and have always looked forward to reading every issue. The Bow-Tied Lady

Bow ties are cute accessories. I tried making one from a floral material that I have at home and I must admit, it didn't turn out bad(considering I had to hand-stitch it). It's also so easy to do. Sometimes, when I want to get that vintage look, I just wear my shirts with a black ribbon/tie. 50's Polka Dot Dress from Dear Dorothy

I won a beeeautiful Dear Dorothy vintage-inspired dress and hair bow on YCLAD Magazine last October. I love love love everything about the dress--- the color, design and how it fits. The lovely Laura of Dear Dorothy was so kind as to hand-deliver it to me. She's such a sweetheart. It's definitely going to be my go-to outfit this summer. So retro. So stunning.

Retro Eyewear

The time has come for styles of the past. Vintage eyewear is now hotter than ever. It is easy to make a statement wearing these glasses, even if you're just wearing a plain shirt and jeans. It is definitely for people who love to experiment with different styles. It gives one an edge and also a geeky look(in a cute way). Pleated Skirts

These delicate skirts are very flattering. A schoolgirl staple that has become a trend this year. Could be of chiffon, wool, tweed or lace, it flatters and adds volume in the right places. For a chic look, pair with a plain white tee and accessorize with a slim belt. Here are some of the pretty pleated skirts that I found online.
